Privacy policy

This policy explains what information ingo plan collects when you create an account, enroll in a course, apply as an instructor, or otherwise use this site, how we use and share that information, and the choices you have over it.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — your name, username, email address, and password. Passwords are stored as salted hashes; we never store or can see your password in plain text.
• Profile information — an optional profile photo and, for instructors, a bio and other public-facing details you choose to add.
• Payment information — course payments are processed by our payment partner, Paymob. We don't receive or store your full card number; we keep a record of each transaction (amount, date, course, status) for receipts, support, and fraud prevention.
• Course activity — lessons watched, video progress, quiz answers and scores, live-session attendance, course ratings and reviews, and certificates earned, so we can track your progress and unlock the right content.
• Instructor application details — if you apply to teach, we collect your specialty, experience, and course ideas to review your application.
• Support and marketing communications — messages you send us for help, and your email address if you sign up for course updates through a newsletter form.
• Technical data — basic device and browser information, and local-storage identifiers used to keep you signed in (see “Cookies and local storage” below).

2. How we use this information

• To create and secure your account, and verify your identity when needed.
• To give you access to the courses you've purchased and track your learning progress, quiz results, and certificates.
• To process payments, apply coupons, and send order receipts.
• To review instructor applications and manage instructor accounts.
• To respond to support requests and enforce these terms, including reviewing reports of abuse.
• To send course updates or promotions if you've opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time.
• To keep the platform secure, prevent fraud, and investigate misuse.

3. Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's local storage (not third-party advertising cookies) to keep you signed in, remember your course progress, and cache your enrolled courses between visits. This is required for the platform to function and isn't used to track you across other websites or for third-party advertising.

4. Who we share information with

We use a small number of service providers to run ingo plan, and only share what each one needs to do its job. We don't sell your personal information to anyone.

• Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and file storage.
• Paymob — processes course payments on our behalf.
• Bunny.net — hosts and streams lesson videos, and signs temporary playback links so only enrolled students can watch.
• Resend — delivers transactional email such as verification codes, receipts, and password resets.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect the rights or safety of ingo plan or our users, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case we'd take reasonable steps to keep this policy's protections in place.

5. Data retention

We keep account and course-activity data for as long as your account is active, so you keep access to your progress, certificates, and purchase history. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymize personal information within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep transaction records for accounting, tax, or legal purposes.

6. Data security

We use industry-standard safeguards — encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and access controls that limit who can view student and payment data — to protect your information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so we can't promise data will never be accessed without authorization, but we take reasonable steps to reduce that risk and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.

7. Your rights and choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing m.saieed@ingoplan.com. You can also update most account details yourself from your account settings. Deleting your account will remove your access to any courses tied to it, and any certificates you've earned will no longer be retrievable from the platform.

8. International visitors

ingo plan is operated from Egypt, and the service providers listed above may process data on servers outside your own country. By using the platform, you understand your information may be processed in a country with different data-protection rules than where you live.

9. Children's privacy

ingo plan is intended for learners aged 16 and over, matching the minimum account age in our Terms of Service. We don't knowingly collect information from children younger than that, and we'll remove any such information if we become aware of it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as ingo plan evolves. If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let signed-in users know.
